Advantages: The picture quality is the best selling point ease of use comes second

Disadvantages: A lot of money to spend but over tme worth every penny

We recently purchased the Sony VPL VW80 projector at work and have been trialling to see if we wanted to fit these projectors in all our offices across the country
The Sony projector looks very stylish and I was quite excited to see what this projector could do.
We set the projector up to play an HD film as the specifications say it will display full HD and to my surprise the picture looked fantastic very clear and crisp .
We had a slight issue with the size of the cables which was easily sorted by taking a trip down to my local IT store to purchase some larger ones. The projector comes with cables about oner meter long this can cause issues with space and you will need to have thought through where your DVD player or laptop will sit.
The projector will also display in wide screen at the same high resolution which adds to a fantastic film experience. The manufacturers claim that the bulb will last about 3000 hours which is fantastic compared to the cheaper ones which last on average 1000 hours.
Installation was quick and easy the projector has a good frequently asked questions section that answered all our questions and had a good step by step guide to connecting your projector up to your computer or DVD player

Our family use data projects at home as our main TV screen and when our old one breaks I will definitely consider replacing it with the Sony. The Projector comes with a remote control so it isn't necessary to stand next to the product to operate and all the buttons are easy to find and configure
The device is well made but I would be careful when handling as data projectors bulbs can blow very easily and cost usually half the original cost of the projector.
In conclusion this product is easy to use and maintain, the picture quality is fantastic and the device is quite light compared to some of the more expensive projectors around
All in all a very good buy something my work is very happy with.
