The Toshiba TDP-MT5 incorporates the technology based on a chip with micromirrors. An electronic control unit directs the reflecting projection light for each individual pixel either to the lens or to the "offside", thus creating the required image. The color is created by means of a triple color filter wheel, which spins, in sync with the picture scan. One particular characteristic of the TDP-MT5 is that the color wheel consists of two red, green and blue color segments, each of which creating a sequence of individual color images which appear as a real color image due to their high speed. An extremely high and uniform brightness as well as true colors are characteristic of the latest Toshiba home cinema projector.
