Express Review on 5th Avenue

5th av is a good night out, but I went last night (birthday night out) and had my hat confiscated. No worries, I thought, I'l just collect it at the end of the night. When I politely asked for my hat back at the end of the night, the lady went mental and called her big boy bouncers down, who for no reason whatsoever bodyslammed me then dragged me up the stairs. When a friend of mine questioned this treatment, he was dragged around the back of the club and smacked so hard he's still got blood dripping down his face.
Then they stole my phone.
So good club, poor doorstaff, very very poor.

I love a good night out and since becoming a student in the Manchester area I have had to start all over again by finding out what clubs and bars I should go to or where I will like. I don’t mind the music in most clubs as usually it’s just general chart music but I hate clubs which play a lot of dance music. So, after one disastrous night trying ...  Read the complete review

Over the weekend I had my first experience of 5th Avenue. I must confess I have never been out round Manchester before but my flat mate invited me back for the weekend so thought it would be a bit of a giggle. Although I’ve only been the once I’m pretty sure that my experience was the typical 5th Av night out. 5th Av is ...  Read the complete review

The one thing that has always struck me about 5th Avenue that you rarely feel anywhere else in Manchester is the safety of the place. Probably due to the fact that the music played there keeps out the scally hordes, most people in 5th Avenue are out simply for a good night of music and cheap drinks. And that is what they get! Favourites ...  Read the complete review

5th Avenue had the company of me for the first time a few months back, after being some what reluctantly dragged there. You see i would have preferred to go to Rock World not being an indie kid. Anywho after paying the quite hefty sum of £5 to get in, this being a Friday night, and if you are a girl its free, i made my way into the club. Its ...  Read the complete review

Firstly i haven't been to 5th Ave in a while, but i love it and will be going very shortly. It's located in Manchester near the bottom of Princes Street. It's open most nights and on Friday and Saturady it's a fever in or one fifty with NUS card. I think ladies get in free before 11. It's open from about 9 til 3 but ...  Read the complete review

Fifth Avenue, every indie fan's dream comes true. With two levels, three bars and a dance floor big enough to fit two hundred Bez wannabes Fifth Ave can't be sneered at. The only fault I find with this club is its dj and the location. If you are not familiar with Manchester City Centre then you may have trouble finding the club. ...  Read the complete review
