Disadvantages: atmosphere can be weird sometimes

The interior of the pub is brilliant, it's an old bank (of the non-chrome nylon carpet era) and has fabulous high ceilings, cornice-work and is just a brilliant looking building. The alcohol is also pretty cheap, with some excellent deals on pretty much everything from selected lagers and beers to alcopops. Generally prices are cheaper than virtually any other pub, and there is also special offers on each month or week.

The food isn't too bad, and there's even a curry night with again special deals for your fave balti and a pint (I've never had one personally, but I've been told they're good and great value).

Sounds like the kind of pub you should go to every weekend really doesn't it, but the weird thing is I don't. It's got a strange atmosphere. I've been in during the day, either for lunch or mid-afternoon, as well as the evening, through the week or weekend. Sometimes it's packed out and there's a great mix of people and ages, and then other times you can walk in and you would swear that you were in an old man's drinking pub and the music stops when you walk in.

Mmmmm.... Bit of a mixed op really, I wouldn't say don't go, but I also wouldn't say 'oh yeah, I go there all the time'. Try it for yourself!
