The village of Barford St Martin is about five miles from Salisbury. To get to this pretty village you pass through the village of Wilton which goes out along the Shaftesbury Road to this pretty village. There are still many thatched cottages remaining and a school. There is also the Countryside Unit which is in Dairy Lane upon what used to be a farm. This is where homeless people from Demascus House can learn new skills like furniture resoration, computing, and arts and crafts.
