Disadvantages: multirooms with individual personalities

The Bird in Hand a - Stafford tradition, Stafford has some pubs that seem to have been around since time immemorial and the "Bird" (as it's known ) is one of those, I can recommend the Bird as one of those pubs that you will laways find busy on a Friday & Saturday night, with a wide mix of people, from the student brigade to the older people, those who remained after student life and found work, it's the sort of pub where you get recognised if you go there often enough, I love Stafford and all it's spots like the Bird.
There are 4 rooms in the Bird The Snug(small),The Bar with a telly(full of codgers), The lounge noisy with jukebox and a mix of people, and the pool room, well that's for playing pool.
There is a fabulous beer garden too for those lovely Staffordshire Evenings.
The cheese and potato pie is very yummy although I can't vouch for the other dishes as I'm a vegetarian..
ENJOY the Bird if you stop by and say Hello to Ron the landlord (if he's still there).

Please, try and be constructive in your comments, rather than sarcastic - if you don't think an op is useful, say how you think it could be improved!

I rated this Useful, as there's not too much you can say about a pub really - you got the atmosphere and the facilities in there! However, it would be nice to see some info on the kind of drinks they do (is it mainly lagers and mass-brewed beer, or do they go for local real ale, or good wines, etc?) and maybe the price range of the food.
