The Black Bull Inn is situated in the centre the Cumbrian village of Coniston and was built over 400 years ago. Its nice to find village pubs that even though get plenty of visitors throughout the year has kept its charm. I have always found the staff always to be friendly even when they are rushed off their feet at peek times. The Black Bull is also the home of the Coniston Brewery and you can find the famous Bluebird bitter on sale alongside Old Man Ale (named after the mountain). They serve food all day and ok its not cheap but you certainly get what you pay for. I am happy to say I have never had any problems with the food or the service. Well ... Read the complete review
