Advantages: fair priced, friendly
Having been told numerous times to visit The Bug Bar since its recent refurbishment, I decided to venture there on Saturday night. The night was called Sonorous & was told it was going to be a blend of Jazzual beats, & dance music. Having not been to The Bug Bar before, I found this night exceptional. The atmosphere was really laid back, but also a real party mood. Being over 30 (& tired of big superclubs), it was fantastic being in a small, intimate, club vibe. I had come home.
In the spectacular setting of the bar which is set in a church crypt, you can lose yourself. The drinks are fairly priced & the bartenders make a mean Mai Tai. The only slight problem was the heat. Ventilation isn't the best, but you can expect to get hot & sweaty when your dancing like a lunatic. You can always dive outside in the garden to get some fresh air.
I would recommend this bar to anyone who's up for a good time, with like minded people. 10/10 :)
