Having just been promoted to the Welsh/Scottish league , this will probably prove to be a difficult season for Cross-Keys . The usual bout of summer transfers have seen Cross-Keys recruit well , in terms of experience and youth .Into the squad have come the likes of Andrew Gibbs and Gary Hicks , from Newport . Gibbs should prove particularly useful , with his size and International experience providing a welcome boost for an already steady back row division . Hicks will fit in well with the experience of Darren Crimmins and Ian Evans in the Front Row .Keith Stewarts size and experience will provide a welcome boost for the second rows . Behind the pack , Colin Ellis and Tom Walsh already show their individual talents at scrum-half , with Jamie Webb at Outside Half settling well after joining late last season. A lot of competition in the three-quarters sees the like of Matt McCarthy , Gwion Bowen , Steve Reed , Andrew Price and new siging Rhodri Davies from Llanelli always on form as they all compete for positions in the starting line up . Last seasons highest points scorer in Division One , Ioan Bebb at full back, was injured against Bridgend ; But all at the club hope to see him make a speedy recovery . The clubhouse is situated on the A467 , just up the valley from the "Tredegar Park",Newport, juction of the M4 . A warm and friendly club with full disabled facilities.
