Cold drinks and the tasty pub food you'd expect. However, Cross Kings is more than just a pub! Cross Kings is home to one of the quirkiest places to see live music in London. If you venture downstairs, it appears as though you're walking down to hell. I say this because of the brilliant murals on the walls depicting devils, dragons, monsters, and obscenities.
The Cross Kings attracts music of all different types. The night I went seemed to be devoted mostly to folk, which was a bit surreal against the backdrop of the wall's artwork, perhaps more suitable for something a bit louder, but genius nonetheless. The crowd that night was a bit middle aged, but I am going to assume that crowds change with the musical acts. One downside was that by the end of the night, everyone was squashed against each other in such a small area, so unbearably so that we left before we generally would have. Another tiny downside is its location, its a bit far from tube stations, about a 15 minute walk from Kings Cross station.
Enjoy quality entertainment in a pub atmosphere with a cold beer and a plate of your favourite pub fare.
