The night begins here. Manchester has to be credited with its diverse nightlife. Rock fans, dance fans, gospel fans, whatever you're planning for your night out there’s only one place to do it, in a cheap pub with a varying range of beers that are enjoyable to drink. The Crown And Anchor, just by the side of the recently refurbished Sinclair's Oyster Bar has all these qualities. Divided into three parts, a seating area, a standing area and what I refer to as the old mans area at the back its a nice place which because of its location can be used as a meeting place, and used to have a few beers before the night begins. On draught they have beers familiar to fans of Joseph Holts pubs, namely Crystal and Diamond, 4.7% and 5% but they have a wide range of bottled beers and Alco pops at prices not to be sniffed at, a WKD will set you back around £1.80 which isn't at all bad considering this is central Manchester, the draught beer on the other hand is £1.50 and is actually quite nice.
