Advantages: Grest atmosphere and huge selection of cocktails and beer

Disadvantages: gets very busy and a long wait for your drinks

This has to be the coolest cocktail bar in york! I love the nightlife in york there are loads of pubs and clubs and I haven't been in one I didn't like yet. The Evil Eye Loung is definately one of my favourites.

It is in the centre of York near the minster about half a mile from the train station. From the front it may look just like a shop that sells a huge range of alcohol but as you pass through the shop you come to the bohemian style cocktail bar which has the biggest selection of drinks available. There is also an internet cafe upstairs including comfy leather seats and even two beds covered in comfy cushions which is great for relaxing.

Its a fantastic atmosphere, the walls are have lost of interesting mirros and art scattered all over. A very interesting place and very popular with students and the younger generation.

Unfortunately as it is so popular it gets very busy on a weekend and you can be waiting at the bar for ages before you get your drinks, it's better to go here earlier in the day as it's not so busy and they serve food.

It is a little expensive if you were to drink there all night but it is worth it as the staff are experienced and very friendly. Also forget about going to the ladies when it is busy because you will be queuing for ages.

Other than that this place rocks. I like the dimly lit rooms upstairs which really add to the atmosphere. Really exciting place to start your night out and will give you plenty to talk about.

I love York and I love this bar. If you are visiting York it's well worth popping in for a couple of drinks!
