G-A-Y London Every year for the last 5 years, I have travelled to London for Pride weekend and had some amazing nights out in GAY Astoria that was once on the Charing Cross Road in London. I was gutted to hear that it was closing, and when we went to London this year, it had gone - sad days. I think it fair to say that everyone who went there, mourned the loss of the place. Unfortunately the GAY Astoria that was once on the Charing Cross Road in London, is no more. It was shut down in 2008 due to transportation works. This was a very sad time for those who have been to this venue. GAY club was home at the astoria for 15 years and it had frequent club nights 4 nights a week. Entry was usually free or very cheap, there were drink deals and special offers on, and frequently there were live performances. I myself have seen the likes of Girls Aloud, Cyndi Lauper and many more there! It was a great venue that filled up and guaranteed a great night!
