Grenadier

Hailsham is a pleasant market town with a number of interesting pubs. Of all of them I would recommend my old local - The Grenadier at the top of the High Street. The pub is actually a listed building which was originally a barracks for grenadier Guardsmen, but has for quite a few years been a pub tied to the brewers Harveys of Lewes. When you walk inside you will find a public and a lounge bar, an the fixtures and fittings are the traditional old dark-wood.
