Newest Review: ... has for quite a few years been a pub tied to the brewers Harveys of Lewes. When you walk inside you will find a public and a lounge bar, an the fixtures and fittings are the traditional old dark-wood. Thereare a number of beers on offer, ranging from the real ales brewed by Harveys to keg lagers, cider and Guinness. There is a wide range of spirits and soft drinks on offer as well. The owners, Malcolm and Robin, and all the staff are pleasant and welcoming. The food ranges from the standard pub grub, through to steak sandwiches and curries. Hailsham is a pleasant market town with a number of interesting pubs. Of all of them I would recommend my old local - The Grenadier at the top of the High Street. The pub is actually a listed building which was originally a barracks for grenadier Guardsmen, but has for quite a few years been a pub tied to the brewers Harveys of Lewes.
