Advantages: good cheap food

Disadvantages: terrible attitude

My local Wetherspoons, Fowlers in union street Ryde on the Isle of Wight really does need a bit of good competition. the standard answer by its arrogant uncaring staff is " if you don't like it go somewhere else" i just wish a another major chain would start up locally and show the indolent and surly individuals that supposedly work there that they are not the centre of the universe and the customers do matter and deserve some respect.
To be Fair there are some good deals and the food is very good value for the price,it would seem that the good and responsible members of staff seem to be in the kitchen and the other end of the quality spectrum are based at the bar.
the junior management are ineffective and there would seem to a culture of general lack of respect towards the the paying customer which originates fro the higher levels of management.
the question is when will the British general public learn not to put up with being treated with such contempt by these people.
complain to e Wetherspoons loudly and with passion do not put up with it.

Summary: ryde on the IOW deserves better than this
