Advantages: cheap food and alcohol, nice atmosphere

Disadvantages: sometimes overcrowded

The best thing about Wetherspoon's is not the location of their pubs but what the pub was or used to be. For example the Palladium in Llandudno, perhaps the closest Wetherspoon to where I live was an old theatre, and I adore the fact that they've kept many features e.g. the old boxes and the upper balconies of seats. I've been to most Wetherspoon's in North West Wales and several around the country e.g. Scarborough, Greenwich and Cardiff and they share similar features e.g. used to be old cinemas, lodges etc. They are always very clean and the service is always good. The cheap price of alcohol and food is perhaps it's biggest selling point, especially with the credit crunch. I would probably make it my goal to try and visit as many JD Wetherspoon pubs as possible given the knowledge that each one will be unique in it's own way, but share similar preferences. It's only downside is that some are often very crowded, especially in the summer.

Summary: recommend to anyone.
