Advantages: Excellent value for money drinks

In every town centre you will find a JD Wetherspoon's pub of some sort in some cases two!! In total there are 761 pubs across the UK. Although all are very different in style one thing is consistent. Value. Both for drinks and pubs and that is how the chain has built their reputation and brand!

I think I have lost count of the various Wetherspoons I have been in. There is nothing particularly memorable about most of the pubs in the chain

Food wise what you can expect is value and traditional pub grub. Nothing flash or fancy but if you are after currys, grills , burgers and sausage and mash this is your place . A cheese burger and chips will set you back around £6. The portions are huge so expect a meal that will fill you up. However nutritionally the pub chain has received much criticism about the extremely high fat, salt and calorie content in the food.

Drinks are very very cheap. You are looking at less than £2.00 per pint, and for a double spirit and a mixer £3.00. Just be warned in many cases the pubs don't attract the best crowd and you do get some "characters".

The newer Wetherspoons pubs are modern and clean in the pubs that are more established they need redecorated as they are a bit shabby

If you are looking for drinks and are on a budget or value pub grub, its definitely a place to visit .
