Advantages: great pub
Disadvantages: none
with me now since the birth of my daughter 6 years ago being a non drinker i usually dont go out to a pub very often but when i do go out this is my number one choice.
Our local wetherspoons pub if i must call it that is a great place with a very nice atmosfere to it, there is a little back ground music played on a stereo system that is nice as a distraction but not too loud that it interferes with your conversation, the staff are very friendly and always in plentiful supply meaning you never have to waite long if at all to get served at the bar.
The drinks, alcoholic and soft drinks are very reasonably priced compared to other pubs, the beer doesnt appear to be too gassy or too flat but just right and the big winner for me is the choice of sizes in soft drinks, i can have a 1/2 pint or a pint of pop.
The choice of menu is fantastic no matter how hungry you are as there are a good selection of light snacks such as rolls, sandwiches, baskets of chips for when you are just slightly peckish or a full meal for when you are hungy. my favorite is the steak dinner which is a very reasonable price and our local pub has a curry night on a wednesday where two can dine for just £4.99 including a curry each, side order of rice or chips and a drink.
You may think as a mother of two i am a little cruel with this but my biggest love of the atmosfere here is that it is over 18s only and they are very strict about id, i love this as the last thing i want on a quiet night out without my children is to be hastled by other peoples children or equally irritating underage drinkers.
This is a fantastically run pub with great staff and a very clen friendly enviroment.
Summary: a great night out
