J.J. Booths has been a part of Aberdeen's pub life for a good few years. It is located on Back Wynd, a road off of the centre of Union Street. Very central for anyone looking for a pub to go to while in the centre of town. A perfect stop for the weary shopper.

Inside it is quite dark. Poorly lit. It is decorated in the ole' quaint pub theme like alot of the older pubs are. That stained yellow wall look, and big boards advertising what is on offer to the pub goer.

As many pubs do they serve food as well as drinks. J.J. Booths is well know for the pies that they serve. A bowl containing a filling covered by pastry. A favourite with anyone who has tried it. The menu that they offer contains the usual pub grub. Tasty but not outstanding.

J.J. Booths is well known for the ales that they serve. They have an extensive range of real ales as well as a varied list of beers that come from around the world. This aspect makes it a truly mans mans pub! Due to the wide variety of beer J.J. Booths has its regulars. I have to admit the fruit flavoured lager I tasted was lovely and unique. Something different from the usual alcopops that are on offer.

If you are looking for a quiet place to pop in to for a quick drink while out for a day shopping J.J. Booths is a nice enough place to go. However, if you are a party animal looking for an exciting place to go on a night out I would give J.J. Booths a miss!
