Advantages: Music
Disadvantages: Pretentious, Violent, Bouncers
Having attended Rockworld several times on various days, I feel qualified to point out its negative aspects (something other Rockworld opinions here don't do too well).
Firstly, it's very clique-y. You have to dress to fit in, no matter what people in there might say otherwise. I have felt quite uncomfortable attending in jeans and a jumper before; if you want to fit in, get a pair of baggy jeans from Affleck's Palace in Mancester and take a trip to Halfords for a chunky bike chain to hang from them.
I won't go too much into the music as this is to everyone's individual taste. However, the music seems to induce anyone with long hair into a convulsive fit. It's best to leave around 5 metres from the nearest grufty if you are going to be feeling like a bit of a dance.
The bouncers hardly have the reputations of respectable, law-abiding types. This can be overlooked as a flaw as it's difficult to find bouncers that are those two qualities elsewhere in Manchester.
