Every Wednesday the Jug of Ale on the A435 Kings Heath holds Quids in, this is a pound entry and a pound a pint of many things (too many to list!) inc. Carling, and shots of Vodka are a pound too! The reason you pay in is to watch the quality of local bands play live. Upstairs is dedicated to the talent of live bands (usually rock/indie), including the bands 1.21, Screaming Julie and many more, most of which are surprisingly good.
