Laverys is the default place me and friends think of to go first, when planning a night out, even if its for a few before going to a nightclub! Because there are four different bars in the place, you're getting something different everytime, and there is a different theme every night! The back bar will range from rock, to r&b, to reggae, to singer/songwriter night. The front bar has the most friendliest man on earth doing the music, which is mostly 70s/80s, and he's always happy to take requests. Upstairs is a pool room, everyday apart from saturday nights after 9 when it turns into a night club. Laverys prices aren't great, although they always have a wee offer on that you'll most likely end up drinking, and there is a lack of cocktails which would be great to have! There are two smoking areas, the one on the ground floor, with all the red heated lights, which alot of people just spend their whole night in, and the one on the top floor which is very spacious. Both have their own bar for people who would rather stay outside, chain smokers and dope smokers haha.

Laverys is always really packed especially at the weekends, on a Saturday night, it gets to the point where it takes you ages to get your way through the crowds. Toilets are usually kept clean, never really had any problems there.

The food is tasty!! Nice big burger, or steak I would suggest you get, honestly cannot beat it. Last but not least, the staff. They are so friendly and have a lot of time for you, you always get great craic from them, although they don't like to be messed with and can get angry, but its understandable, it is a stressful place to work, they have drunk people pestering them the whole night! Also the bouncers are brilliant, but also flirts! haha, if you are a good looking girl you will most likely not get ID'ed.

I love Laverys, it is the bar of Belfast. It also won Best Pub of the Year award 2010!
