The DJ on Tuesdays is Phil Kieran, who Im afraid does not have a lot of Alternative / indie songs in his collection so he usually turns to playing the same set practically every week which gets a bit repetitive! no where else even comes near.limelight forever! - Advantages: best variety of the best music, smirnoff strawberry smoothies, lots of kool and pretty people - Disadvantages: should go on all night,cant get enough!

Ok, I have been frequenting the Limelight for over two years now from when I just turned 18 years of age. Up until a month ago the Limelight has always been a little dingy club with a lot of character as it always looked like a real hole. But as of February 2nd the Limelight opened its doors again after one month of renovations and now it is on par (condition wise) with other top clubs in belfast. If you're into alternative / indie music the Limelight is the place for you. The Limelight is a club in Ormeau Avenue in Belfast. It has recently undergone a renevation which has transformed it from a dive into a good looking place. The music policy is varied, but mainly concentrates on what is dubbed "alternative" with a large dose of cheese thrown in for good measure. It opens on Tuesday night for Student night-SHAG. Admission is £2 and drinks promotions run all night. A quality night out, but with bottles of Tennants only a pound, you can get dangerously drunk.
