Luck Voice located walking distance from Angle station/ Highbury Corner (closer), the outside is dressed in black accessorized with tinted windows and an outside seating area.
The interior is extremely modern; squares seem to be the décor theme which is noticeable from the bar to the seats. The place is clean and the toilets are well kept; the classy atmosphere is created with up beat music and dimmed lights.
The staff are very pleasant from the greetings to general chit chat. This goes for the customers also as the type of company and location generally draws in nice cliental.
***THE IMPORTANT PART.....The money***
The price of room hire varies on different days of the week, obviously peak days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) are more expensive. Although there is a minimum two hour stay however if you are having a good time (which is highly likely) the time will pass fast. Check the website for further details.
The drinks are typically priced, try to get in on their deals like the happy hours for example two four one. The cocktails are extremely generous with the alcohol content so light weights you have been warned!! Although the range of cocktails are nothing to excite however the bartender did suggest if you know the ingredients he'll mix it for you.
The company has enforced a bill technique of a tab allocated to your room. Some may see this as hassle free however I prefer to pay as I go saves the confusion of who paid for what. I guess this may work for some and not for others.
I booked the room for 15. Due to health and safety the maximum amount of people you can have in the room is 15 (well obviously). Note that where are smaller rooms available. The room is a box lined with wall built in leather seats the main focus is the screen I am unsure of the size but its big enough. Next to the screen is a touch screen, on this you can select your songs. It is simple to operate; just like creating a play list on a computer (a staff member will prompted you before hand on how to work it). The library has over 8000 songs so you are bound to find a song to sing, a song book also accompanies the room. Inside the songs have been grouped into genre selections (for example rock, pop, club classics etc).
You are given two microphones which you are to return at the end in addition to this you have a box of goodies that had costume accessories.
Room service is part of your fee, simply press the button and the staff come to take your order (hence the tab)....Well that's what is suppose to happen, I experienced a slow response.
Over all it was a great night out and I will be heading back this summer. 9.5/10.
