Maceys BarNewest Review: ... are moderate. As for prices in general, this bar is a rip-off for bottles, about average for pints, and average most days of the week on spirits with mixers. Exceptions include the 70p for a shot of tequila when you buy any other alcoholic drink. A quick way to get hammered. Sometimes this bar is great, sometimes it's dead. Problem is, it's not too consistent, so it's going to be difficult for me to advise when you should go. It is however, packed out every Saturday; you know you're in for a decent time in Macey's on a Saturday after about 8-8:30pm. Some Fridays it's heaving, some it's moderate. Mondays are usually decent, but there're better alternatives on these days. The reason for this is because all over Newcastle prices are dirt cheap on Mondays, however Macey's don't decrease their prices THAT much compared to everyone else.
