Newest Review: ... in the summer they are already being used. Food There is a wide variety of food on the menu, there is your traditional pub food such as chicken and chips, burgers, fish and chips etc and then you have your not traditional pub food such as curry and pasta. To introduce, me + food = disastrous! I am so fussy when it comes to food, my list of foods that I do like will be a lot shorter than the list of foods that I don't like. That is why pub food is always a winner with me. Traditional chicken and chips, minus the side portion of peas, is my favourite! Mascrat manor is by far the best place to get this food. For the past three years I have been going to Mascrat manor as it is the shore place that I know I will be able to choose something off the menu that I like. This was by far the worst meal I have ever eaten anywhere. The turkey was the cheap processed stuff, the gravy was completely tasteless and everything else was frozen (cooked properly but you could tell it was all frozen, even the roast potatoes) and the cream they used on the puddings was that horrid spray stuff. I had to pay £30 for this. I think had they charged me £5 this 'meal' I would have felt overcharged it was that bad. There was 13 of us in our party and none of us liked it and couldn't wait to leave the place asap. On the plus side the staff were friendly and polite, the only plus side to the whole experience.Phil

This is a good half way for us both taking approx 30 minutes each to drive to. The pub provides plenty of car spaces, and is a very large pub indoors with plenty of seating available. The pub is very easily located off the M6 too. The Food and drinks The choice of veggie food isn't great, but then most pubs aren't, either that or I am fussy! I ended up going for a usual cheese baguette and chips and some garlic mushrooms. Although ... Read the complete review
