Possibly one of the best pubs in the Lake District is the Masons Arms. Situated at Strawberry bank near Kendal. The pub dates back to the 1600?s and has a low oak beamed roof and crackling log fires. The thing that makes the Masons Arms different is the range of beers. There are around 150 bottled beers from around the world and at least 5 beers on draught. The pub even brews its own unique Damson ale from fruits grown along the Lythe valley, which is worth a try.
