A fantastic restaurant for a lovely relaxed dinner. the service was attentive but not intrusive, and the place didn't have a pretentious atmosphere like some high quality restaurants have. The food was excellent - the grilled lamb fillet was incredible. We had an excellent bottle of Pinot Noir which was delicious. I got a little confused as to where the toilets were and I think I possibly ended up using the mens! An all round great evening, I would definately reccommend for a special occasion. Loved the look and feel of the restaurant, very stylish and intimate.

Great evening, amazing food & service

i called and booked a table for my birthday to have dinner with family and friends. the reservationist was helpful when i informed her of my fathers dietary requirements, she promptly emailed me a copy of their menu. on the night the restaurant owner personally waited on us and advised my father on which dishes were suitable. the chef went as far as making a special dessert for my father which was impressive considering how most restaurants in london lack basic customer service these days.
All in all, we had a great evening, fabulous food and delicious cocktails!
have been recommending Molton House to anyone who will listen as they went out of their way to make sure my evening was perfect and enjoyable. If your in the area definatly give them a try - you wont be sorry! a hidden gem just off oxford street, near bond st station.

Avoid at all cost - very very bad!

I ate at the restaurant here and it was a very poor dining experience. The food (if and when it arrived) was poorly cooked and presented, my lamb was overdone and rubbery and my friend's were equally unimpressed with their dishes. We were not served the food and drinks we ordered, the waitress completely forgot the orders of three of my friends which meant their food did not arrive until after everyone else had finished! There were several other slights, errors and annoyances but the worse aspect of Molton House was its staff. The staff were unhelpful, unapologetic and defensive when we complained - the manager even tried to tell us that we had enjoyed the food!

On the plus side the décor and music were good and the drinks (when they did arrive) were good as well. However, the appalling service and poor food mean that overall this is a restaurant that I would not recommend to anyone. Definitely one to avoid.

The place for an amazing night out

Molton House is a members only club on South Molton Street in London, it can be found set back from a the shops on the street.

I was lucky enough to go to Molton House due to a competition i entered for fashion week and i was invited to the end of fashion week after show party - lots of celebs and free champagne and cocktails all night!

From the outside the club looks like an old georgian house, when i walked inside there was a cloak room just as you walk in, as you go up the stairs there is a bar to the right and then down a hallway to a room with lots of comfy chairs and subdude lighting, the room was based on Peacocks! lovely peacock feathers on the wall and the colours of the room matched.
From the hallway you can go up another flight of stairs which is the same layout as the floor below, this was however the champagne bar.

After drinking through out the night we headed back to the entrance and then headed downstairs to the basement.
This is wear the club can be found, a decent sized dance floor, another bar.

Toilets can be found on the hallways in the building.

To become a member of Molton House you have to apply and your application is assessed by the board, people on the board include Carl Borat from the libertines.
They obvioulsy only let well known people be members to keep the exclusivity.

The only down side to the building is that because it is an old geoergian house, disabled access is none existant.

I'm not sure on what the normal drink prices are like as the niight was sponsored by Snow Lepoard Vodka, however from what i have heard from other people is that there are often promotions on and free or cheap drinks on certain nights.

I had a brilliant time there that night and if you get the opportunity to go i would truly take up the offer.
