Advantages: Food and drink in the one place
Disadvantages: None yet
When I was working weekends I could not always be bothered with the cooking when I eventually got back home, espcially on a Sunday. So we decided to try the Norfolk Arms as it had only reopened after a complete overhaul earlier in the year.
We had been there for drinks and it was great, so we decided that we would give the food a try. It couldn't have been better. I decided to take adantage of their offer - sandwich or wrap, chips, salad and a drink for £5. The food was swiftly served, was hot, and looked and tasted delightful.
The atmosphere was great and people of all ages are made to feel very welcome as are small groups or large parties.
I would recommend the Norfolk Arms for a light bite, a big meal, quiet drinks or a place to start the night off.
The eating area is situated away from the bar, so you are able to sit and eat in a quiter atmosphere and actually take the time to enjoy the food.
The pub is one of the bigger ones in the area, so therefore is busy. I recommend that if you want food don't leave it too late as it gets full and you can be waiting for a table in the eating area and on a Saturday night it can get noisy, so personally I wouldn't eat there on a Saturday after 7.30pm.
Prices for food and drink are the normal pub prices. Food is similar to Weatherspoons or any other of the chains, but somehow has a more home-made to it.
I did a quick check on the internet so that I could put a bit more info in about the food and prices but I could not find any info. Sorry
Summary: A great pub for everyone.
