O'Neill's bars, as the name may suggest, are a chain of Irish pubs/bars that were once only common sight in Ireland but are now found in nearly every town or city in the UK and are opening up all over the world.
The success of these bars can be attributed to many factors, none more so then the lively, friendly atmosphere you find an O'Neill's always has. As nation the Irish are renowned for being happy, friendly people who definitely know how to throw a party and the owners of O'Neill's certainly have managed to pass these qualities onto their staff and customers alike. However O'Neill's are not just about getting hammered and partying. In the day you will find these bars have a comforting, homely feel to them. They serve traditional Irish food and will always be showing sport.
The food is traditional and in my experience always cooked well; kind of like your mums home cooking. Its often great value for money as well; you can pick up a burger and chips for £3 or a steak for £6. sides are cheap and I have never waited for too long for a meal.
O'Neill's sell a wide range of beers, spirits and wines all again at very reasonable prices; they cater for all needs. Their prices are not the cheapest on the high street but by no means the dearest.
Generally the staff are very helpful and friendly and always know how to pour a decent pint (however this can vary can't comment on every O'Neill's member of staff). Most O'Neill's have live music playing at least once a week (Friday or Saturday) and have a late licence. These bands tend to be very good and generally just play covers so everyone always enjoy them.
Summary: In my opinion O'Neill's in general is a great pub with a great atmosphere no matter what the time of
