A great place for lunch is Pats Bar in Clarendon Dovks Belfast near to the Stena Line Terminal. It is a bar which is like an old fashioned Irish country pub in the heart of the city. Filled with signposts for Donegal , low ceilings, great Guinness and warm fire. The food ranges from Open Chicken salad on Wheaten Soda bread to daily specials. All are fresh cooked to order and well worth any wait which is kept to a minimum by friendly staff who are not obtrusive but genuinely interested in your enjoyment.I can wholly recommend the Homemade burgers which are as described , not greasy, not over seasoned and cooked to perfection with side salad and fresh cooked big chips. Home made Vegetable soup with wheaten bread is also highly recommended, but whatever you have you will not be disappointed. As the building is old and small dont expect lots of room and I would not recommend it for the disabled, however it oozes old fashioned charm . Well worth a visit
