As a student i have been in loads of Wetherspoons before and this is by far the worst i have ever been in. My girlfriend and i decided to go for something to eat on a sunday afternoon. There was quite a few locals in but it is a large place and there was no atmosphere what so ever. When i went to order the food and drinks, the staff were very abrupt with me and there were a couple of drinks on tap that i wanted, which weren't working. I ordered the sunday roast and my girlfriend had a medium rare steak. This is probably one of the worst Wetherspoons pubs that I have ever been to for food! They are completely unhelpful to groups, for example, I was with 5 friends but there were no tables large enough for us to eat together. We asked one of the staff if we could put two tables together, they said no, and just walked off leaving us to try and sort out how to split onto two tables. In the end, we gave up and just left. Also, the staff are miserable and they often get the orders wrong, and very late. On one evening one of my friends had to wait until the rest of us had finished her meal before she had hers brought to the table!
