Newest Review: ... carefully. The interior is beautifully old fashioned, and it is divided up into several small, cosy rooms. The drinkers are varied, and it seems to appeal to all ages and trends. Infact, the ony thing that I have to say against this pub is that whilst the ladies toilets are fairly plush, I have been reliably informed that the mens just have to be seen. Something that I haven't managed yet. So whether you're on your way to a concert, or winding your way into town, this pub is definately worth a look. ... more

Located a little out of the city centre, this pub is great. It can get very busy though, so you have to pick your time quite carefully. The interior is beautifully old fashioned, and it is divided up into several small, cosy rooms. The drinkers are varied, and it seems to appeal to all ages and trends. The Philharmonic pub has been voted the most ornate pub in the UK, and if you ever get the chance to go in you`ll certainly see why. Itis a very nice friendly looking pub, with two small rooms just off the bar with tables and very comfortable chairs. The bar itself is reasonably priced - it might not be the cheapest bar in the city but it`s not a rip off by any stretch of the imagination. The biggest attraction, weird as it may sound, has got to be the gents toilets. I agree with you, it sounds funny, but just go there and have a look. Ladies to - they are quite used to woman checking them out and I`ve never seen anyone get mroe than a token ticking ... Read the complete review
