The Piper is one of the chain of pubs which accepts yellow cards, giving further discounts at certain times. In its latest incarnation the Piper is meant to be the ultimate in hip, catering to the yoof culture. Its late night DJs on Thursday, Friday and Saturday are just part of this. Indeed it does have a lot to draw in the student crowd, cheap beer, attractive bar staff (obviously liable to change), gaint kids games like connect four and a big screen for football, the Simpsons and the like.
