A great pub for a relaxed and friendly environment. I have found the Bonaparte to be a great place to meet for a couple of Sunday afternoon lagers with a few of your mates. On a nice afternoon, it is very acceptable to stand out in the street soaking up the afternoon sun, and watching some very cool cars cruising down Chepstow Road. A good selection of quality food and a great selection of friendly women make it one of those pubs that you never want to leave! Is the place to be for the Notting Hill Carnival. These two perfect pubs are only a few steps apart on Chepstow Rd and Westbourne Park Rd (Westbourne Park or Notting Hill tube; buses 7, 28, 31 & 70) and they are what makes Notting Hill: A perfectly relaxed atmosphere, laidback and fashionable people and a great mix of cultures & styles. The Westbourne may be a bit more fashionable, featuring the occasional pop star visit, but the P. Bonaparte is definitely more laidback. Admittedly the people are sometimes just a bit too fashionable and too laidback in both places but after a few pints of - for example - Staropramen (P. Bonaparte) or Stella (Westbourne) everyone is bearable and you can simply enjoy the place. ...  Read the complete review
