Pubs / Bars in Barrow-in-FurnessNewest Review: ... Barrow Arms. Taken over in the last year by a young couple, it is clean, friendly and full to overflowing of a week end. Late closing means they are probably the busiest pub in town most nights. Anyone who is out seems to go there. They have Karaoke on at one end of the pub for those who like to join in but this does not intrude on the rest of the pub for those who like to chat. Drinks are not overpriced and they pull a good pint. It gets very busy and is standing room only every week end and you can stay here until closing time at 2pm or can make the short walk to Cornwallis street nicknamed by locals as 'Gaza Strip' It had a reputa... more |

The place where you set off at one end flush with money and end up at the other end skint. Its a great favourite for hen night and stagg night parties. The first pub is The Queens arms(the first one to be built at the start of the haydays in barrow). This has live bands on at weekends. 1/2 pint each in here. The second is Dominics(so named because of the landlord that ran it for years). Very small and quaint, more than ten people and its full. Good vibes. 1 pint each in hear. The third pub is The Rams Head a ... Read the complete review

Pubs in Barrow in Furness This town has plenty of good watering holes to cater for everyone’s tastes so I will just give you a quick tour of a few of them. If you are coming with me bring your wallet because the first round is on you. The Strawberry: On the outskirts of the town centre and one of the first pubs you come to as you drive into Barrow along the Abbey Road. This is a popular haunt with the youngsters on a Friday and Saturday night they have live bands on, and it gets packed to the rafters. A nice clean establishment and the bar staff are on the ball. Sunday lunch here is popular, for under a fiver you get two courses ... Read the complete review
