Disadvantages: how to chose! and no big nightclubs

well there's no shortage of them that;s for sure. but it would depend what you are looking for. we have a good old whetherspoons. The six templars. in the town centre. the town centre isnt that big, so all the pubs in the town centre i speak of are easy to find. then it depends what you want form a pub. the old barge, just over a bridge form town is good for food and a pub quiz and its more what i would call a "village" pub, just in a town. has ales on tap too. youngsters prefer blackbirds, with its thursday student deals. during peak times the queues can be quite long. they have recnetly introduced a rock night and had a live band play. then there's the stone house. also has thursday night deal. but is bigger. and on fridays and saturdays you have to pay to get in there. the most recent hangout for the younger hertford members seems to be sugar hut. this is relatively small but does have a lot of garage and dnb nights. but i have only been once so it may be best to find out more on this one. then theres the duncombe. they have a lot of themed night, skool disco and carribean nights. hertford house hotel (obviously has the advantage of being a hotel too) has become busier these days. and they also are introducing live music. Deco across the street is good with cocktails i have heard but i have not been in there myself. most of these pubs serve food.these are the main pubs in hertford i guess but theres lots lots more. for individual reviews i would seek out reviews on the pub you chose.
