A traditional pub serving a decent pint and good quality food. The Crown in situated in a small village off the A50 between Knutsford and Holmes Chapel. It has received numerous awards for the upkeepp of the pub, in particular the external decoration and garden. Inside the pub has a long history with beamed ceilings and a large restaurant to the rear. The 'locals' are friendly but like all pubs there are a few you wouldn't want to get to know too well! The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the landlord and landlady make established customers and newcomers all welcome. The landlord always has a story to tell of his footballing past! On a Thursday night there is 'live' music provided by an old chap called Bob and his mates. It is very much a jam session for them and they play a variety of instruments and music - mostly folk like in style. There is also a periodic quiz on a Sunday night which boasts cash prizes. The clientele is mixed as are the ages of customers. Families are also well catered for. The only draw back is the fact that as it is a Marstons pub the prices are dictated by them, as is the selection of beers. But this can be overcome with good company! Try it yourself.
