Advantages: On the beach and children and Animals are allowed

Disadvantages: Winding roads to get to it. Need to pay parking.

Blue bar is a lovely bar on the beach. They serve lovely food and a wide range of drinks from coffee to cocktails.
At weekends they have live music and through out the summer they are host to many events including surf event’s as Porthtowan beach is annually host to the surfers against sewage surf contest.
There is plenty of outdoor seating so perfect if you want a beer whilst watching over the children playing on the beach.
There is a car park in the little village of Porthtowan with a small fee but is worth it as the bar and the beach are lovely and friendly.
To get there head towards Truro then towards Redruth where you will come to a roundabout that is signposted towards St Agnes and Porthtowan then just follow the signs and the lovely scenic Cornish winding roads.
