I am a CAMRA member,and have lived in the Isle of Man for several years,having moved from the beer desert of Blackpool.
In my opinion,good pubs in the isle Of Man are few and far between.The good beer guide pubs here would probably not make the guide if on the mainland.
Starting with,in my opinion,the best,The prospect,in Douglas.This can be found approx 5 mins walk from the promenade,and sea terminal.it is an Okells pub,(main iom brewery).it is an imposing pub from the outside.On entering ,the pub is wood panelled throughout,with a long bar to front and side.pLenty of seating ,popular with the banking and legal fraternity at lunchtimes.Up to three guest ales are served.The prospect also has cask marque accreditation.
Next pub is The Queens Hotel,on the promenade.Also an okells pub.There is a large seated outdoor area,heated on colder days.Entering the pub,there is a public bar area,and a lounge.Two ever changing guest beers are served,the pub also having cask marque.The food here is excellent,but being the Isle Of Man,pricey.
Third pub is a short bus ride out of town to The Railway,in Union Mills.A traditional Isle of man pub,popular with locals.Three guest ales are served here,mainly from smaller independent brewers.The pub is on the main TT course.
Other pubs worthy of note are The Sidings,in Castletown,which hosts beer festivals regularily,and The Creek,in peel,also hosting regular beer festivals.

Summary: If travelling for a pub crawl,a weekend should suffice.
