It looks like someone's house complete with fires in two of the room, a welcome addition to a winters night. The walls are festooned with old pictures, although the new additions of LCD Tv's have been a shock to the local contingent. It is not trying to be anything other than a good old fashioned bar so if you are looking for fancy meals or high decor, you'll not get it. Frank Owens is a small bar in the heart of Limavady, County Derry/Londonderry on Main Street. It was first established in 1852 when it was owned by the McCartneys and was complete with thatched roof. In 1960 the bar came to be in the Owens family, run by the legendary Frank, and his two sons, Gary and Damien, however the thatch roof is no more.
