Advantages: Cosy, Good food, friendly
Disadvantages: Food a bit expensive, small selection of ales
Nottinghamshire has a great variety of villages, most with a very different local pub. Most of the pubs I have been to have been welcoming and friendly. One pub I would particularily like to recommend is The Hutt, on the A60 in Ravenshead. It has recently been rennovated from a boring old whitewashed restaurant, to a cosy, friendly local pub, packed with atmosphere. The food is great, with a new chef and the staff are pleasant. Ravenshead has been, like many villages, short of a decent village local for years and now it finally has one. I recommend it to all - it is a very old building, connected by underground tunnel to Newstead Abbey and is supposedly haunted! Check it out - you wont be disappointed!
