There's an Xbox 360 that you can play on for free (the game whilst we were there was Pro Evolution Soccer 2008, I'm not sure if they had others as we were quite happy with Pro Evo). I visited the Roebuck for a couple of pints on Saturday when meeting up with an old friend. We moved onto the Roebuck after playing a few frames of snooker on Queen's Road. The Roebuck is located pretty centrally, near to Sheffield Hallam Uni and just a couple of minutes walk from the train station and main shopping area. The pub itself isn't particularly big, but does have a pretty impressive range of facilities (from what I can remember!). I thought that it was about time that I got around to writing a review about my local pub, the Roebuck Tavern in Sheffield. Well I say local, it is actually located in the city centre, about five miles from where I live, but I still think of it as my local. The Roebuck Tavern is one of my regular haunts within Sheffield city centre, and as far as city centre pubs go it has a pleasant atmosphere with a regular, friendly clientele that makes a nice refreshing change. The Roebuck Tavern also has an excellent reputation for good home cooked food which makes it a favourite location for daytime shoppers to call into for a spot of lunch.
