Scream Pubs Reviews

Scream Pubs Pub / Bar National

Newest Review: ... small club, but it fills up well and there is a huge dancefloor! Downstairs the pub area is more relaxed, offering food in the daytime, poole tables etc. On sundays there is a pub quiz (if they still run it) often attended by students which is really great fun! The prizes are excellent, and whilst living in lincoln for uni my housemates and I won numerous bottles of champagne, a white water rafting trip, a game cube and more just from attending the weekly pub quiz at Scream! Many of the staff are students and there is an overall friendly student vibe. If you live in the student accomodation it is but a stumble from your bed! As most night... more

Scream in Lincoln has all a normal Scream pub has to offer downstairs, but also a great nightclub upstairs, most popular amongst students for it's indie music and cheap drinks! It's only a small club, but it fills up well and there is a huge dancefloor! Downstairs the pub area is more relaxed, offering food in the daytime, poole tables etc. On sundays there is a pub quiz (if they still run it) often attended by students which is really great fun! Scream pubs are undoubtedly my favourite pubs. At university in Derby the pub THE FRIARY was the number one haunt for students before a night out, or watching football and event to grab a cheap pub dinner. The atmosphere in scream pubs is cosy and warm, with couches and low lighting, but they also all have poole tables and an updated juke box, so constantly playing good music at customers request. The drinks in scream pubs are relatively cheap, and on the purchase of a £1 yellow card, for students you get a further 25% of certain drinks. The menu is varied and also affordable, there are two for £5.95 meal deals, and also the famous curry and a burger £3.50 or curry ...  Read the complete review

Scream Pubs: Great pub food (307 words)

Scream bars are commonly known as student bars but they are nicer than your average student pub. I have taken my parents here for a bit to eat when they have come to visit twice now and they have been impressed on both occassions. They are commonly found in university cities and I know of at least 3 in Glasgow and 1 in St Andrews. The bars serve cheap drinks (not wetherspoons cheap, but far cheaper than a bar) and great value for money food. They offer curry and a pint and burger and a pint for less than £5 from 3pm onwards. The drinks offers are always good and you can get pitchers of cocktails for around £10. They have all the usual drinks on ...  Read the complete review

Scream if you like cheap drinks! (398 words)

I visit our local Scream Pub, The Kingston Mill (funnily enough in Kingston) regularly. It's our usual haunt before hitting the clubs at the weekend or for some pub grub. The Mill, like the other Screams I've visited are generally student drinking grounds. This is because the music is good and the drinks and food are cheap. There's over 60 Screams Pubs in the UK, mainly in University towns. The prices are reasonable to start with but they also have a loyalty card scheme, you can buy a 'yellow card' from the pubs for £1 and this gives you further discount. This used to be available to all, but now they only issue them with a student card. The food ...  Read the complete review

Being a student, and knowing the monetary hardship this can bring, I am always happy to find a Scream Pub whenever I go out. Scream Pubs offer wonderful deals on both food and drink, and welcome the customer with their wonderful decoration and courteous staff. With the economy as it is, many people are detered from going out because they want to save money, and feel it frivolous to spend money in pubs when they could be saving. However, these people are in luck. Scream Pubs are excellent sources for cheap food, cheap drink, and excellent entertainment. There are numerous meal deals - including the Scream Burger and a pint for £5.50 (approx), Curry and a ...  Read the complete review
