On the day 6 of us called in for lunch the manageress (I assume she was) seemed very touchy. Tried to order 2 courses, special price, intending starter for my partner and main course for me. Was told this couldn't be done and would have to pay for starter as a main course which we had to accept. As a result another lady in our group cancelled her order in protest so the pub lost out. If I had just ordered it withou saying who it was for then I'm convinced iit would have been forthcoming. She had a very unfortunate attitude and I noticed a similar attitude to other clients. If I go there again it will be to place the order without saying who is going to eat it. I take the view that if I order something it is of no consequence to the supplier who it is for. ie if I by 2 for 1 in a supermarket they wouldn't tell me that I can't give one away or share it with someone. I will be reporting the matter to the pub owners if I can find out who they are. If that woman was the manageress then she doesn't deserve the job. overall the meals were good.
