A very old pub indeed if I remember corrrectly it's 15th century so very low ceilings and beautiful wood. In the back room they have quaint little booth like areas to sit and have a fabulous meal. Not too pricey but very well cooked the staff are very friendly and chatty, if you stay in one of the many ajoining rooms or cottages owned by the inn they do great breakfast with lots of choice, you choose from a menu the night before and they serve it in the pub between 8.30-9.30. "The Sloop Inn" is the oldest pub in St.Ives circa 1312, and some would say the best also. It is certainly the most well known of st.Ives pubs. It is situated on the seafront (The Wharf), and is a tiny building from the front, painted white with black window frames and doors. It has a beautiful painted pub sign on the front and in the summer has colourful flowers in hanging baskets and window boxes. To look at it with your own eyes visit www.sloop-inn.co.uk.
