I originally logged on to tell all you dooyoo readers all about this amazing little pub I just found. It's gorgeous, idyllic and quite a well kept secret. Just the place you'd want to go to make friends or take a romantic interest.
I thought while I was on the site, I'd pick up a few more insider tips of where to go for a really traditional night out in one of those little known watering holes you only find after three years of living around the corner from it.
But I was just a bit dissapointed to find the only listing in my part of town were either blank or badly rated as 'an avoid like the plague' opinion. so, I'm afraid, unless everyone else promises to spill the beans - i'm withholding this treasured information until further notice! Sorry but that's the deal!

well, here's the update.
I've had heaps of comments to this rather mean article and I can feel myself buckling to public pressure...
If you do live in the south of london and Rotherhythe/Surrey Quays are a stones throw away, you really should try the Mayflower (behind Rotherhythe station - right on the river) for a quiet beer-clinking evening of banter.
Or, if you can find it - (few can) the Wibbly Wobbly on the docks near tesco is set on a boat moored to the side. I just love it. Due to the nature of the venue, all feelings of unsteadiness are amplified - so you won't need as many drinks! can be romantic or a knees up depending on day, time and of course weather!

P.S If I get more than fifty reads of this - I'm taking it off - there'll never be enough room for all of us to go!
