Last saturday I was attacked by the bouncers of Tattershire Castle in a tottally unncessary manifestation of violence after I asked to leave the boat with a drink in my hand in order to make a brief phone call. So there we were walking round the Houses of Parliament / Westminster Abbey area last summer, feeling hot and sticky (yes we did have one or two warm days!) and rather tired when my friend said 'Lets walk to Tattershall Castle' I'd never heard of it and was not interested in walking or castles at that moment in time but he said 'Trust me' and I'm so glad I did! We walked a short way along the bank of the Thames and there was Tattershall Castle, a boat converted into a pub moored on the bank opposite the London Eye.
