      Where its based

      Dewsbury Road,
      LS11 5LD

      On walking into the pub

As you walk in the pub you have several directions to chose from to get to the bar. if you turn left you have a seating area, that has a small section of the bar, then you can go straight ahead that also has a bar or you can go right which has even more seating area and also is the area that they set up all the entertainment.

The bar is quite large and goes the whole length of the pub, it is cut off into sections by small pillars going up. But behind the bar it is all joined into one.

Round the side where the entertainment is held they have a small dance floor and also plenty of seating area, and there is also the toilets round there too. The pub inside is quite large and is well sectioned off, so if you do just want a quiet drink you can go round the other side of the pub where its not as noisy.

      The entertainment

I have only ever been in here on a Saturday night and they had a live band playing, the night went with a bang and the place was buzzing, each time I have been to see a band play here they have been a really good band, and the atmosphere has always been great and the dance floor has always been filled.

      The staff

The staff serve you quickly and politely although they never have had time to try to strike up conversation with you as each time I have been in they have been really busy, But they have always been fast and efficient.

The cider is here for a pint is £2.90 and the lager is £3 a pint.

The toilets seemed to stay clean throughout the night even though they was very busy and they also stayed fresh smelling too. Each time I went in there was always toilet roll available.

There was slight queues at times as the pub was very busy and there was only 3 cubicles, but apart from the queuing times the toilets were what you would expect from a good pub.

      Suitable for disabled

No they have steps to get into the pub and there are no disabled toilets, there would be enough room to move a wheelchair around in but it would be just getting it up the stairs and not been able to use the toilet.

      Why you may like it

      Good bands
      Clean pub
      Good atmosphere
      Has a quiet area

Why you may not like it

      *Not wheelchair friendly

      My overall opinion

This is a pub that I do not visit too often as I do only go here on a Saturday night, I do not go out that much on a Saturday but if I do I always go here for a few beers.

The gigs are quite good that I have been to in there and the pub always gets pretty busy with a great atmosphere. The price is not too bad for the beer however I have seen cheaper, but I would recommend this pub for a visit, you can chose to listen to the band or sit at the quiet end of the pub.
