Food is of standard quality with specified ngihts such as Curry club on a Thursday which offer you a draught lager/cider/ale or a spirit mixer with the specified meal for a cheap price which saves you a decent amount of money. The food is definitely better than the other two Wetherspoon's in the city centre and is of better quality than the equally priced Avondale nearby. They offer afternoon meals between 2-5pm at reduced rates which comes with a cup of tea if wanted. The Giddy Bridge is your standard Wetherspoon's pub which was once a grand building and now exists as a neat JD Wetherspoon pub located in Bedford Place, Southampton. It's one of 4 Wetherspoon's within Southampton and 3 within the city centre itself, and atmosphere varies from day to day. Of the 3 within the city centre, the Giddy Bridge is by far the best for those who like their real ale, with up to 4 at a time being served on draught. It also offers ciders OTHER than Strongbow on tap which is a rarity around these parts and has an even larger offer of lagers such as Carlsberg and Tuborg. The Giddy Bridge is part of the Wetherspoons chain located in a area mainly frequented with Students in the evenings and Office workers at lunchtimes and these are the people that you will find in the Giddy Bridge at all times. It servers the same as all other Wetherspoons public houses and at the same good value. ----- Drinks ----- The Giddy Bridge sells the usual vast array of drinks at the normal wetherspoons prices and there are often deals and festivals on giving you yet more choice.
